My tryst with visual art started when I was very young. Fortunately, my parents noticed it and encouraged me to develop my interest in various forms of art. One can never stop learning. The artist in me developed over various endeavours with painting, music, dance, theatre and travel. I started my working career as a digital artist, progressed on to animation, web content management and user experience designing. The decade I spent with interactive multimedia exposed me to the latest in technology and helped me learn techniques from the best in the field. I travel a lot, it kindles the explorer in me and fuels my quest to wander through the roads less travelled. It continues to widen my perspective of life. I often tour on my motorcycle, which is intriguing for many. Sharing travel stories helps penetrate the thin veil of caution that people hang around themselves, and gets me a peek into their unique culture and lifestyle. Every person has a story to tell, if you have the time to listen. I get enamoured by strangers with their humbleness, humanity and kindness. I’ve never found language as a barrier to communicate. I value this ability to interact with people as a precious gift. This emboldened me to start shooting people and life, a transition from landscape and still life. I find photography as an interesting medium of expression. There are no words to read, no sounds to hear, no motion to watch, yet it is able to convey the emotion of a moment in a single image. And it takes an observant eye to freeze a moment in life that can be interpreted by the viewer as intended. I understand how 'wedding' is a huge milestone in everybody’s life. It marks the beginning of a socially recognised marriage of a couple. Weddings bring to life myriad emotions which kindles all five senses. I became a wedding photographer gradually, by chance, not by choice. As a photographer I can’t be disconnected with my subject or premise. When I shoot a wedding, I am an active participant, a friend, a part of the family. At the end of the day, I’ll go home with a story to tell. A unique story about why the world should care about this lovely couple. My shooting style is non-obtrusive and naturally posed (candid and contemporary). I work with a crew who complement my style. Chennai has been my home for the past decade and I’m fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil. Contact me to check my availability and request your unique quote.
